DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – Dec. 8, 2018
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,250
Kyrie Irving (at CHI – $9,000): Needs 41.3 fantasy points. The only concern for this one is a blowout. The Bulls are on a back-to-back, and despite beating the Thunder, aren’t a very good team. Meanwhile, the Celtics have figured things out and Irving’s scoring and playmaking is a big reason why. He’ll put up strong numbers in limited minutes, but his ceiling lowers if this gets ugly. Diagnosis: If it’s competitive, he’ll be great. But it may not be competitive.
Mike Conley (vs LAL – $8,700): Needs 40 fantasy points. Conley was down to 29.25 fantasy points against the Pelicans, which isn’t great due to the Pelicans typical defense. Simply put, Conley just missed shots. He finished with nine points. Trust him to bounce back against the Lakers. He’s been too good this season to be held in check in the same manner for two straight games. Diagnosis: He’ll bounce back and at least give you value given the matchup.
Jamal Murray (at ATL – $7,800): Needs 35.4 fantasy points. Murray had 40.25 fantasy points against the Hornets on Friday. The matchup is great on Saturday, but this could get out of hand, which would limit Murray. With Millsap out of the lineup, Murray should see extra opportunities on offense. Diagnosis: High ceiling and great matchup. But a blowout is concerning.
