High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Marc Gasol (vs LAL – $8,900): Needs 39.9 fantasy points. After a couple of rough outings where he was under 30 fantasy points, Gasol was up to 34.2 fantasy points against the Pelicans on Friday. He’ll need to be better in this one and I expect him to be better. The Lakers interior defense remains an issue and Gasol can do big damage with his scoring and rebounding. Trust him to deliver given the matchup. Diagnosis: Love the matchup and his ceiling.

Nikola Jokic (at ATL – $9,800): Needs 43.9 fantasy points. Jokic had 43.2 fantasy points against the Hornets on Friday. With Millsap missing this game, it means more Jokic. And more Jokic typically means a big game. And against the Hawks, a big game should be expected. The Hawks are week against the position and Jokic can hurt them in a variety of ways. Diagnosis: Circumstances and matchup are very good for him. Expect a monster performance. Minutes might be limited.

Enes Kanter (vs BKN – $7,200): Needs 32.3 fantasy points. Kanter had 30.7 fantasy points in 24 minutes against the Celtics on Dec. 6. Kanter remains the same as he always is. If the minutes are there, the production will be there. And the minutes should be there against the Nets, who are weak against the position and are on a back-to-back. Kanter should be able to produce a big rebound and scoring game on Saturday. Diagnosis: Love Kanter in this spot. Matchup and salary are good.
