Ready to watch the 2018 Heisman Trophy award ceremony? Here’s everything you need to see college football’s most prestigious award be handed out tonight.
Tonight, the 2018 Heisman Trophy will be handed out. Tua Tagovailoa, Kyler Murray, and Dwayne Haskins are the three finalists for the most prominent award in all of college sports this season and all three have played admirably this year. Tonight, we will finally find out which of these three incredible athletes will take home college football’s most coveted individual award.
As is to be expected with the finalists for this award, the three present tonight all have strong cases and great résumés.
Tua Tagovailoa, the favorite through the vast majority of the season, led the Crimson Tide to yet another incredible year. Tagovailoa has been so dominant with Alabama’s offense that he has rarely had to play in a fourth quarter this season. Tagovailoa took Bama to the SEC Championship game and made Nick Saban’s team scarier than many thought they could be.
Kyler Murray carried the Oklahoma Sooners right back to yet another Big-12 Championship. The Sooners, constantly gashed and throttled on defense, relied on Murray’s athleticism and phenomenal talent to avenge their only loss of the season and get right back into the playoffs. Oklahoma wouldn’t be here without him and he’s been better than his predecessor.
Dwayne Haskins, much like Murray did with OU, helped Ohio State overcome a horrible defense. The Buckeyes were able to crush the rest of the Big 10 thanks to Haskins’ talent and that includes the Michigan Wolverines. Michigan’s supposedly stout defense crumbled as Haskins and the Buckeyes won in incredible fashion, putting Ohio State in position win the Big 10.

Even though Tua Tagovailoa was the favorite to win the Heisman throughout most of the season, there’s a good chance that he’s not the one who takes home the award at the end of the night. Kyler Murray’s strong performances down the stretch of the season, combined with Tagovailoa being hindered by an injury, may have pushed Murray into prime position to win this evening.
