The 2018 Heisman Trophy will be awarded to Tua Tagovailoa, Kyler Murray or Dwayne Haskins on Saturday, but what time will it actually be handed out?

On Saturday night at the Playstation Theater in New York City, the 2018 Heisman Trophy will be handed out. At the end of the night, it’ll either be Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Kyler Murray or Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Dwayne Haskins that is named the 84th winner of college football’s most prestigious award.

This is one of the closest Heisman races that we’ve seen in recent memory. For much of the season, it appeared that Tagovailoa had the award in his back pocket with his dominance. However, with Murray’s heroics and Haskins’ continued production and importance to his team, they both made viable cases to win the award over the Crimson Tide quarterback.

Subsequently, the ultimate outcome of this race is still in doubt heading into Saturday night. And, as such, man fans are going to want to tune in to see what the final result of the race is. Thus, fans will be tuning in to ESPN on Saturday night.

However, the broadcast for the the 2018 Heisman Trophy ceremony starts on ESPN at 8:00 p.m. ET, but that’s not when the award is handed out. Between ceremonial entrances, speeches, promotional segments, profiles of each player and so on, there is an immense amount of fodder surrounding the actual award being handed out.

In truth, it’s totally feasible that you might not be someone who has time for that. Therefore, you may be asking what time the 2018 Heisman Trophy will actually be handed out on Saturday.
