The Thirteenth Doctor and her companions have their final adventure of season 11, and we tell you how to watch it live.
It’s kind of fitting that a show like Doctor Who flies by in a whirlwind of activity, but that sure doesn’t make it any easier for fans. It feels like we were just getting to know the Thirteenth Doctor and her trio of companions, and now, bam, just like that we’re here at the season 11 finale, “The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos.”
Besides testing the attention to detail of entertainment editors everywhere, the finale’s title and teasers all hint at Team TARDIS getting thrust into the equivalent of an outer space war zone. But there will be a twist or two, since season 11 has been delivering them consistently, and there’s also the idea that the Doctor will encounter a familiar face (or at least a voice, but let’s assume for the sake of argument there’s a face attached to it) from her storied past.
And while Doctor Who season 11 hasn’t had much in the way of connective tissue between each episode — indeed, you could very easily have watched a bunch of installments in any order — this finale might be different. For starters, we already know that Jodie Whittaker is coming back for season 12, but could one or more of the companions decide to exit the TARDIS for good?
It’s certainly possible, which is just one of the reasons why you want to be watching live on Sunday night. Here’s what you need to know to do it:
