Newcastle face Wolves at St. James’ Park on Sunday, Dec. 9. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Newcastle host Wolves at St. James’ Park in the lone Sunday game in the Premier League this weekend. The Magpies are floating in the lower half of the table and enter the weekend in 14th place with 13 points. Wolves are six points ahead of Newcastle and are comfortably in the middle of the table.
Newcastle drew 1-1 with Everton on Wednesday. The Magpies have been significantly better in their last five games picking up 10 points after not winning any of their first 10 games and picking up only three points. Jose Salomon Rondon scored the lone goal against Everton and has three goals in his last four games. While Rondon has started scoring, the rest of his Newcastle teammates are ice-cold. Newcastle’s 12 goals are the third fewest in the Premier League this season. The Magpies need to start scoring more goals if they are going to avoid relegation. Newcastle enter the weekend only four points above the relegation zone.
Wolves shocked Chelsea on Wednesday beating the Blues 2-1. The win ended a six-game stretch that the Wanderers did not win a game and only picked up one point. Raul Jimenez scored his fourth goal of the season against Chelsea. The Benfica loanee has had a strong season with Wolves, adding five assists. However, no other Wolves player has scored more than two goals this season. The Wanderers have scored only 15 goals this season and need to score more often if they are going to finish in the top half of the table.
