Even though the NFL season is in it’s final stretch, FanDuel is still surging. Who should be in your Week 14 lineup?

Once again, every team is in action in Week 14. The Sunday slate will feature eight games that will kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET, followed by four games that will begin in the 4:00pm ET hour.

Before looking ahead at Week 14’s matchups, let’s take a look at how the Week 13 lineup performed. This lineup did not perform as well as advertised, but there were bright spots. Lamar Jackson, Christian McCaffrey and Aaron Jones led the crew.

In Jackson’s third career start he threw for 125 yards and added 75 yards on the ground along with a touchdown. His versatility allowed him to score at least 16 fantasy points for the third consecutive week.

Once again McCaffrey proved to be Carolina’s most dangerous threat on offense. He compiled 161 total yards including a receiving touchdown, in the team’s 24-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. For the fifth consecutive game, McCaffrey has compiled 100+ total yards. He finished the afternoon with 26.6 fantasy points, fourth most amongst backs

As for Jones, he did not have nearly as a productive game as McCaffrey. The second-year back rushed for only 36 yards, a season low, but punched in a score. Jones has scored at least one rushing touchdown in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, the wide receiver position struggled. Tyreek Hill, Tyler Lockett and Josh Reynolds combined for 21.1 fantasy points. Lockett was the only one out of the trio to record a touchdown, which is why he finished with 12.7 fantasy points. However, none of the receivers had more than one catch, which is extremely surprising especially for Hill.

At the FLEX position, Gus Edwards nearly rushed for 100+ yards for the third consecutive game, but fell 18 yards shorts. As a result, he finished with less than 10 fantasy points for the first time in three weeks.

Defensively, the Miami Dolphins held the Buffalo Bills to 17, forced two interceptions, sacked Josh Allen twice and recovered one football. They finished with nine fantasy points, their highest total in the last three weeks.

Finally, selecting Matt LaCosse at tight end did not live up to expectations. In his second start of the year, he was held without a reception, despite playing a season high 79.7% of the offensive snaps.

My Week 14 lineup will only include players that are playing on Sunday, minus the Sunday night football game. All fantasy points discussed are based on FanDuel’s scoring system.

Week 13’s top performers at each position:

Quarterback: Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs- 33

Running back: Todd Gurley, Los Angeles Rams- 30 & Tarik Cohen, Chicago Bears- 28.64

Wide receiver: Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers- 29.8 (Sunday Night); Dante Pettis, San Francisco 49ers- 27.2 & Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers- 26.4 (Sunday Night)

Tight end: Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs- 32.8

FLEX: Phillip Lindsay, Denver Broncos- 28.4 & Christian McCaffrey, Carolina Panthers- 26.6

Defense: Houston Texans- 18

Quarterback: Philip Rivers, Los Angeles Chargers- $8,300

The Los Angeles Chargers won their second consecutive game in a row after defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers, 33-30. They have won eight of their last nine games and sit at 9-3 on the year. A big reason for their success, has been the play of veteran quarterback, Rivers.

In last week’s victory, Rivers completed 26 of 36 passes for 299 yards and two touchdowns. Rivers has thrown for 3,418 yards, seventh most in the league and 28 touchdowns, fifth most in the league. He has thrown at least two touchdowns in every single game this season.

On average, Rivers is scoring 20.72 fantasy points per game. In his last three games he has had at least 20 fantasy points in each contest.

This week, the Chargers return home to take on the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati has given up 23.2 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks, most in the NFL. They have surrendered 3,470 yards, fifth most in the league and 26 touchdowns, tied for fourth most in the NFL.

Rivers has played the Bengals six times in his career and is averaging 279 yards and nearly two touchdowns per game. These two teams are trending in the opposite direction and River should be able to dominate the inferior opponent.
