Week 15 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Advice – Playoff Run!
By Dan Gilliam
It is week 15 and if you have made it this far, congratulations to you! I have made some waiver wire suggestions that you may want to consider if you have any bidding dollars left. I know that making it this far is very hard so you should take a moment to pat yourself on the back…
Week 15 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Advice – Playoff Run!
If you are done basking in the glory of your playoff win let’s get serious for a second and look forward to the next week. You are not satisfied, are you? Winning the championship and talking trash to everyone else in your league is within your grasp so who should you add in week 15 of the fantasy playoffs? Read my suggestions below for answers.
QB – Waiver Wire Adds
Josh Allen-In the last three weeks Allen has rushed for nearly 100 yards a game (99,135,101) and it is really hard to not stash him on your bench with scores of 26, 28 and 18 points.
Josh Johnson-This is an add for 2 QB or Superflex leagues but the new starter in Washington can add with his legs. He threw for a score and rushed for 45 yards and a TD in week 14.
RB – Waiver Wire Adds
Jeffrey Wilson-The new starting RB for the Niners ran for 90 yards on 23 carries. He had the majority of the touches and is a decent volume play moving forward.
Elijah McGuire-The starter Isaiah Crowell went down with a shoulder injury and McGuire had 17 carries and 3 receptions. If Crowell is out another game we may see this usage again.
Damien Williams-In week 14 he scored 19 PPR points with two TD’s, one receiving and one running. Williams also recorded 6 rushing attempts and 4 catches so he is being used and could return some value if Ware is injured.
WR – Waiver Wire Adds
Dante Pettis-Pettis seems to be the lead WR for now and has a TD in three of the last 4 games. He led the 49ers in targets week 14.
Robert Foster-In three of the last four games, Foster has nearly had three 100 yard receiving games (105, 94, 27 and 104) but only has 13 receptions. He is not a volume play but with 7 receptions this past Sunday that solidifies him as a true boom or bust big-play threat. If you need an upside WR3 or flex you may want to consider him.
Robby Anderson– Upside play with a good upcoming schedule who averaged 19 yards per catch. His usage is on the rise with 15 targets in the last 2 games. In week 14 he had 4 receptions for 76 yards and a TD.
DaeSean Hamilton/Tim Patrick-With Emmanuel Sanders out Hamilton stepped into a bigger role and had nine targets this last week. Tim Patrick saw 10 balls thrown his way so either of these WR’s could be a good pickup. Patrick would be more of the upside stash as he had 85 yards and Hamilton only 47.
TE – Waiver Wire Adds
Ian Thomas-He saw 11 balls thrown his way this past weekend and caught nine of them to total 77 yards for the day. He led the team in targets and is a good play next week against the Saints at home.
Streaming Defenses
The options this week are not great but I have two that should be decent if one of the upper echelons of defenses is not available.
Titans @ Giants-In the last four contests the Giants offensive line has given up 11 sacks. They held Jacksonville’s offense to 7 points last week.
Seahawks @ 49ers-Seattle has two weeks in a row scoring in double digits. (ESPN scoring) and held the Vikings to 7 points.
The end is near but don’t forget to ALWAYS be looking for that free agent add. In the NFL fortunes can turn on a dime so be vigilant when accessing your team’s needs. Be bold and aggressive in your pursuit for that player to win you that coveted title. I hope this list helps. Good luck this week in the playoffs.
