High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,250

Steph Curry (vs TOR – $9,800): Needs 44.3 fantasy points. Curry has been up-and-down since returning to the lineup. But even in his down games, he’s going to get you numbers. He was up to 64.25 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Dec. 10. This feels like a game where the Warriors make a statement after what happened in the game in Toronto. And no one makes a statement like Steph. A blowout is possible, which is concerning. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling. But check to see who the Raptors are suiting up.

Ben Simmons (vs BKN – $8,900): Needs 40.8 fantasy points. No Jimmy Butler means more Ben Simmons. He had 47.5 fantasy points against the Pistons on Dec. 10. With Butler out of the lineup, his usage rate will go up. He can do a bit of everything and is always a triple-double threat. The Nets are weak against the position and Simmons should have a big outing. Diagnosis: Love him on Wednesday. I expect a big game from him given the circumstances and matchup.

De’Aaron Fox (vs MIN – $7,300): Needs 33.2 fantasy points. Fox has been over 49 fantasy points in two of his last three games. The matchup is a bit tough because the Timberwolves defense has been very good since the trade, but Fox has a high usage rate and can do a bit of everything. The scoring and assists should be there for him on Wednesday. Diagnosis: Good salary, playing well, and a good ceiling. This is sort of a gut feeling pick as the matchup is tough.
