DraftKings EuroLeague Basketball Picks December 14

With only three games in DraftKings EuroLeague today, we have to do a little digging. Most of the stars in the EuroLeague played today, but we still have some good players with great matchups coming up tomorrow. We also have a later start at 2:30pm eastern time.

The rotations can be frustrating sometimes as more players see the court than in your average NBA game. The games themselves are also shorter, playing four ten minute quarters as opposed to 12 minutes in the NBA. The court is smaller, the lane is bigger, and the three point line is closer, but the action is still what you would expect from world class basketball!

For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value.

Guards:

Nate Wolters hurt his ankle in a domestic league game on Sunday and didn’t return. That doesn’t bode well for his availability here. I was going to fade Wolters in a tough matchup against Munich anyway, but if he is out, this can open up some value in the Zalgiris backcourt.

Nick Calathes got his stroke back a little last round. He finally has a nice matchup with Darussafaka tonight. I would probably still go Calathes over Keith Langford here since Calathes did well against a tough Fenerbahce backcourt. Nikos Pappas makes for a great value play today where they are in short supply. I think he will be heavily owned, but I need that value.

Nihad Dedovic and Stefan Jovic are elite plays here today. Zalgiris has allowed the most fantasy points to guards in the league this year, and they could be without Wolters, their best defender. Stacking the Munich backcourt could be a good plan of attack here. There is enough value to do it.

Former NBA player Toney Douglas signed with Darussafaka last week and promptly lit Tel Aviv for 28 DraftKings points in 23 minutes. This is a shot in the arm for Darussafaka, and I still see Douglas as a nice value today.

I usually leave the Podgorica backcourt alone, but with Ivanovic maybe out again, Edwin Jackson is in play. Still, if you have the cash, Nemanja Gordic is the way to go. I would use him unless you are stacking the Munich backcourt.

Clevin Hannah and Luke Nelson are still out, so I love Albert Oliver for the price. He has 39.75 DraftKings points over the last two rounds with those two out.

Forwards:

If Wolters is out, it may actually hurt Brandon Davies instead of helping him. At $1,300 more than anyone else with a bad matchup, I’m fading Davies as well. Michael Eric is a nice pivot, but Earl Clark tops my list up front if you can afford him. Gran Canaria wasn’t defending well even before all of these injuries.

More from FanSided

Derrick Williams is one of the most consistent forces in the EuroLeague right now. He has been in the 20’s in DraftKings points for five straight rounds. Coty Clarke is nearly as consistent with his numbers in the high teens.

I have played Alen Omic a lot this year, but now his price is pretty high to be getting only 15 DraftKings points at best out of him. DeShaun Thomas is a much better value pick right now.

DJ Strawberry is way too inconsistent and with only two healthy guards, who is going to score for Gran Canaria? So far, the answer has been Marcus Eriksson. Forget the matchup here. Eriksson is the only scorer on this team. He will get his.

Danilo Nikolic has double digit DraftKings points in five straight rounds, and has become one of the better value plays for Podgorica. If you can’t afford Nikolic, Stephane Lasme is a nice play as well.
