Fantasy Football: Impactful NFL DFS Injuries for Week 15
Fantasy Football: Impactful NFL DFS Injuries: Week 15
With extensive coverage of the National Football League and how it pertains to fantasy sports, information about Fantasy Football Injuries to skill position players is easy to come by.
What’s not so easy to come by is actionable fantasy information regarding injuries to non-skill position players. We’ll be exploring some of the NFL DFS Injuries and how they may help you gain an edge week to week.
Ezekiel Ansah – DL – Lions
Ezekiel Ansah dislocated his should in the game against Arizona, and has since been placed on season ending, IR.
Actionable Takeaway: Ansah suffered through injuries for most of the year, but did appear in seven games and recorded four sacks on 146 snaps (Rotoworld). Ansah held a PFF grade of 74.5, and his absence should be a boost for the Bills offense this week. I mention more about my thoughts on this game in, “Fantasy Football Exploitable Inefficiencies: Week 15”.
Bryce Callahan – DB – Bears
Callahan suffered a broken foot in last Sunday’s win against the Rams. He has since been placed on season ending IR.
Actionable Takeaway: Green Bay will have a tall task of heading to Solider Field for a must win game, but Callahan’s absence would be a bit of a boost for the Packers passing game. Callahan was having a fantastic year, and will now be replaced by Sherrick McManis. This would benefit Randall Cobb the most, as he is expected to run the most out of the slot.
Matt Milano – LB – Bills
Matt Milano will miss the remainder of the season with a broken fibula.
Actionable Takeaway: It’s a significant loss given how well he has played this season. I’m unsure as to how much success Detroit will be able to have in this spot, but if you’re looking to target the Detroit offense, keep Milano’s injury in mind.
Denzel Ward – DB – Browns
After missing last week with a concussion, the Browns were hoping for his return this week for a matchup with Denver. Unfortunately Ward will be sidelined yet again as he didn’t pass the concussion protocol.
Actionable Takeaway: Ward is having a great, earning a 79.8 PFF grade. His absence should be good news for Courtland Sutton.
