Keenan Allen injured making an insane catch that didn’t even count
By Cody Rivera
Keenan Allen almost made the catch of the year for the Chargers, but it didn’t count, and he also injured his hip in the process.
The catch was so sick that the referees should have given Keenan Allen a touchdown anyway. It didn’t count, but you can’t deny Allen’s effort on what would’ve been in the conversation for the catch of the year.

Trailing the Chiefs 14-0 in the first half, Allen laid out in the left end of the end zone and hauled in a pass from Philip Rivers using only his right hand. It looked like it was straight out of the playbook of Odell Beckham Jr and DeAndre Hopkins.
Unfortunately, the catch didn’t count as Allen’s body slid out of bounds before he was able to gain control of the ball and he injured his hip on the play.
Luckily for the Chargers, a defensive holding penalty on Kendall Fuller gave them a fresh set of downs.
Mike Williams was able to get into the end zone two plays later to get the Chargers on the board and make it a 14-7 game.
Though it was an incredible effort by Allen but the Chargers have said his return is questionable.
Fox sideline reporter Kristina Pink relayed on the broadcast that Chargers coach Anthony Lynn didn’t think Allen would be able to return for the second half.
The Chargers need a win to clinch their first playoff berth since 2013 and they’d tie the Chiefs for first place in the AFC West.
