Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Thursday night December 13th! Tonight we get a nice sized slate with 8 games for us to dissect and pick from. We get a last goal wins game between Toronto and Tampa Bay down in Florida tonight with our second 7 goal total projection on the season.

Besides Tampa and Toronto there are a bunch of the top scoring teams in action tonight. Columbus should have an easy time handling Los Angeles at home on their 3rd game of a 4 game road trip. Nashville hosts the suddenly hot Canucks tonight in a rematch the Canucks won back on 12/6, and we get Edmonton in Winnipeg for our last high projection goal total game.

NHL DFS Goalies:

Carter Hutton ($8,200) should be back in net on Thursday for the Sabres against the Coyotes. Before getting hurt Hutton had lost two straight starts after winning 8 straight games prior. Hutton has flourished in first starting role of his career to the tune of a 2.60 GAA and a .917 SV%. Hutton gets a prime matchup with the Coyotes who have only scored 10 in their last 4 games.

My second option, more like 1B, is Pekka Rinne ($8,400) against the Canucks at home tonight. Rinne has won 3 of his last 4 starts and gets a Vancouver team that handed Rinne his only loss in the last 4 games, a 5-3 defeat last week. Rinne has been the best goalie in the league this season with a 1.91 GAA and a .932 SV%, and I don’t think Vancouver beats him again.

There are really no value goaltenders I trust tonight and Martin Jones ($7,900) is the only one I trust under $8K tonight. Like Rinne, Jones has won 3 of his last 4 games as well. After a slow start to the season Jones has started to heat up of late. In the last 4 games Jones has only allowed 7 goals in total.

NHL DFS Top Individual Players:

High Tier:

Auston Matthews ($7,900) – Since I wrote up Matthews on Tuesday not much has changed. He’s still one of the best in the game, he still has his point streak going (6 points in 6 games since returning from injury) and is playing in the highest projected total as well.

Timo Meier ($7,000) – Meier is at his price in over a month tonight but he has been playing exceptionally well so the price doesn’t seem to egregious. Meier has 3 goals and 5 assists in his last 5 games. Meier along with Logan Couture ($6,400) and Tomas Hertl ($6,100) make up one of the best line stacks for tonight as well. San Jose 1 has scored 8 of the Sharks last 20 goals.

More from FanSided

Jonathan Huberdeau ($6,500) – Huberdeau is playing at an extremely high level with 4 goals and 15 assists in the Panthers last 10 games and averaging 5.7 FPPG in that stretch. Huberdeau and the Panthers have a good matchup with a Wild team that has allowed 17 goals in their last 5 games

Mid Tier:

Brent Burns ($6,300) – This is a play based on a feeling. Burns has been in a bit of a point drought of late with only 1 goal and 2 assists in his last 5 games but I think he comes close to matching that against Dallas on Thursday. In his last 3 games against Dallas, Burns has 4 assists and a total of 15 SOG.

Kyle Connor ($6,200) – Connor has 3 goals in the last 2 games for Winnipeg. Connors plays on the Jets second  line with Bryan Little ($4,700) and Patrik Laine (7,400). ($

Clayton Keller ($5,200) – Keller is the one Coyote producing right now  with 3 goals and 6 assists in his last 10 games. Keller is also averaging over 2 SOG per game and 3.5 FPPG.

Value Tier:

Josh Morrissey ($4,600) – Over the last 4 games for the Jets Morrissey has 2 goals and 3 assists and 11 SOG. Morrissey returned to the Jets lineup this past Sunday (12/9) and has been paired back with Jacob Trouba

Colton Sissons ($4,200) – Sissons has 2 goals and 2 assists in the Predators last 3 games as well as 7 shots on a goal and averaging over 16 minutes of TOI. Currently Sissons plays on the Preds 3rd line, but see time on the wing on the first PP unit.

Jake Virtanen ($3,600) – Virtanen plays on the Canucks first line alongside Bo Horvat ($4,900), and Nikolay Goldobin ($3,400) and also sees time on the Canucks 2nd PP unit. In his last 3 games Virtanen has 2 goals and an assist.

NHL DFS Top Line Stacks:

Buffalo 1: Sam Reinhart – Jack Eichel – Jeff SkinnerBuffalo’s top line is one of the top lines in all of hockey right now against a bad Coyotes team

Carolina 2: Justin WilliamsLucas WallmarkAndrei SvechnikovCarolina has a matchup with a Canadien team that has allowed 16 goals in their last 5 games. This line is a value pick

Tampa Bay 1/2, and Toronto 1/2…. High scoring game here where each teams top 2 lines should be all over the score sheet

Minnesota 1 : Jason ZuckerEric StaalMikael GranlundFlorida’s defense is a sieve right now allowing nearly 4 goals per game in their last 5 games.
