High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Spencer Dinwiddie (vs WAS – $6,600): Needs 27.8 fantasy points. Dinwiddie had 47.9 fantasy points against the Sixers on Dec. 12. He always gets the minutes and opportunities with LeVert out of the lineup and remains a high ceiling player because of that. The matchup is good on Friday because the Wizards don’t play any defense. Ignore the Nets performance in the last Wizards game. They had just gone to double OT against the Grizzlies and were bound to play poorly. Diagnosis: Great matchup and a high ceiling.

Fred VanVleet (at POR – $4,700): Needs 19.8 fantasy points. VanVleet has turned his game around recently and if Kawhi is out once again, he figures to draw another start. Even coming off the bench he’s going to play solid minutes. The Blazers are struggling in a big way right now and VanVleet is at a nice salary given his minutes and talent. Diagnosis: A bit inconsistent, but playing well and reliable if he starts.

T.J. McConnell (vs IND – $4,400): Needs 18.5 fantasy points. McConnell posted 22.4 fantasy points against the Nets on Dec. 12. With the Sixers lacking depth, McConnell is a guy who is getting plenty of minutes off the bench and delivering with some solid performances. They’ll need him to step up against a tough matchup and the Sixers do play better at home. The minutes will be there if nothing else. Diagnosis: Good salary, fairly reliable, solid ceiling.
