Manchester City face Everton at Etihad Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 15. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
For most of the season, Manchester City were first in the Premier League. That changed last weekend after City were handed their first loss of the season by Chelsea. The loss allowed Liverpool to move into first place and take a one-point lead. On Saturday, City host Everton at Etihad Stadium. The Toffees are seventh in the table but 10 points back of the top four.
In the Champions League, City came from behind to beat Hoffenheim 2-1, with Leroy Sane scoring a brace. Pep Guardiola’s team will look to get back in the win column on Saturday after suffering their first loss of the season. With the way that Liverpool are playing, CIty cannot afford to drop points, as they will be hard to make up. Sergio Aguero has missed the past three games with a groin injury but is expected to return to the lineup on Saturday.
Everton had to settle for their second straight draw last weekend, playing Watford to a 2-2 stalemate. The Toffees have played very well at Goodison Park this season but have won only one of their seven away games. When Everton bought Richarlison in the summer, it was considered a massive overpay for a player that struggled in the second half of the season. However, Richarlison has been great this season, scoring eight goals. Richarlison, along with Gylfi Sigurdsson will be the focal point of Everton’s attack on Saturday as they look to steal a point from City.
