DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – Dec. 15, 2018
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,250
Karl-Anthony Towns (at PHO – $9,800): Needs 46.7 fantasy points. Towns has become a reliable option since the Jimmy Butler trade and he has a high ceiling. And he gets to face the Suns. He should feast in the paint and on the boards with his matchup. He’s even shown off some playmaking recently, which has helped his value. At the very least, he’s going to get you value. But you should expect a bit more. Diagnosis: Reliable, high ceiling, and Suns. A blowout is concerning.
Marc Gasol (vs HOU – $7,500): Needs 35.7 fantasy points. Gasol had 30.25 fantasy points against the Heat on Friday. He’s been inconsistent this season, but I have a good feeling about this matchup. Clint Capela is all over the place right now and the Grizzlies will probably come out with a strong effort after losing to the Heat. Or completely collapse. You’re seeing me talk myself into Capela in one paragraph. Diagnosis: A risk with a good reward. I like his salary and he should be at value.
Steven Adams (vs LAC – $6,500): Needs 31 fantasy points. Adams had 53.5 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Friday. And this is his matchup. He tends to dominate the Clippers in the paint and on the glass. With the Thunder running more of their offense through him, that’s even better news for his value. He’s at a good salary and should be reliable if nothing else. Diagnosis: Reliable, proven matchup, and a good ceiling.
