FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – Dec. 15, 2018
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,667
Karl-Anthony Towns (at PHO – $9,900): Needs 44.4 fantasy points. Towns continues to be solid since the trade of Jimmy Butler and he’s shown a high ceiling. And now he gets the Suns. A blowout is in play because you shouldn’t trust the Suns, no matter how well they played in the last two games. They are the Suns. And the Timberwolves have been much better since trading Butler. Towns will have no issue getting points and rebounds in this one. Diagnosis: If the Suns keep it close, Towns should have a huge game.
Clint Capela (at MEM – $9,100): Needs 40.8 fantasy points. Capela was up to 42.3 fantasy points against the Lakers on Dec. 13. That should be a good sign for his value moving forward. The Grizzlies are a tough matchup, but they are on a back-to-back and coming off a pretty bad loss to the Heat. Meanwhile, the Rockets may have started to figure it out. Capela should do enough with his scoring and rebounding to at least give you value. Diagnosis: Reliable.
Steven Adams (vs LAC – $6,900): Needs 30.9 fantasy points. Adams had 53.8 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Friday. He’s reliable with his scoring and rebounding and the Thunder are starting to use him a bit more in the post. This is a matchup he has typically dominated as well, going over 40 fantasy points in two games against the Clippers this season. It’s a back-to-back, but Adams doesn’t get tired or feel pain. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
