High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,667

LeBron James (at CHA – $11,500): Needs 47.5 fantasy points. The Hornets went to overtime against the Knicks on Friday night. That’s probably bad news for their chances against the Lakers on Saturday. LeBron has been great during this recent stretch and even in limited minutes, he should have no problem at least hitting value. If the Hornets can keep it competitive, that’s even better for LeBron. Diagnosis: Great matchup and he’s LeBron. A blowout is possible, which will limit his ceiling.

Paul George (vs LAC – $9,700): Needs 40 fantasy points. It’s a broken record with George. His overall numbers were actually down against the Nuggets, but his scoring was there. Typically his rebounding and assist numbers are better, so expect him to bounce back in that department. The scoring will be there as he’s a good scorer who gets plenty of shots. It’s tough circumstances with the Thunder on a back-to-back, but George has earned the trust. Diagnosis: Reliable. Don’t like the circumstances.

Danilo Gallinari (at OKC – $7,100): Needs 29.3 fantasy points. While I wasn’t ready to write off Gallinari after a down performance against the Raptors, the performance against the Spurs is a bit more alarming. No one on the Clippers played well, but that’s two straight bad performances and a game where the Suns went to overtime. Is the bloom off the Clippers rose? Fortunately, they get the Thunder on a back-to-back. And a struggling Thunder team. I’ll trust Gallinari here. Diagnosis: Reliable and feels like a game where the Clippers bounce back in a big way.

Quick Hits

Rudy Gay ($6,700): He’s reliable with a good ceiling and matchup. But a blowout is possible.
