Southampton vs. Arsenal live stream: Watch Premier League online
Southampton take on Arsenal at the St. Mary’s Stadium on Sunday, Dec. 16. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Arsenal will take their unbeaten streak to the St. Mary’s Stadium on Sunday when they face Southampton. The Gunners have been something of a surprise this season as they are currently in fifth place with 34 points. They’ve had yet to suffer a defeat since the second week of the season, a thrilling 3-2 loss away at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea.
A win for Arsenal could put them as high as third in the table, depending on results for Tottenham and Chelsea over the weekend. Third place means a Champions League position, a finish to the season that would be considered an excellent result for first season manager Unai Emery.
For Arsenal, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of the players to keep an eye on in this game. Aubameyang leads Arsenal with 10 goals, and his tally is tied with Liverpool’s Mo Salah for the most overall in the Premier League. The Gunners have no shortage of attacking options (Alexandre Lacazette, team assist leader Aaron Ramsey), so expect fireworks on Sunday if Emery has his way.
The hosts, Southampton, are in dire need of a win. The Saints are currently in 19th place, one off from the bottom of the league. They’re tied on points with the 20th place team, Fulham, so a loss could send them to rock bottom. Recent form and the quality of their opponent doesn’t instill a great deal of confidence for them to get a positive result, but they could enter the game with a sense of urgency – and shock the world.
