  • High School: Huntington
  • Composite Ranking: No. 10, No. 1 OT
  • Interested Programs: Tennessee, Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia

The top-ranked tackle in the 2019 recruiting class is still up for grabs. Huntington product Darnell Wright is a 6’6″ and 320-pound tackle that moves gracefully. His agile nature allows him to move around to protect the quarterback and not get caught in a bad stance.

With natural instincts and great athletic ability for his size, Wright is a five-star recruit for a reason as he continues to grow into his massive frame. The chase to land him seems to be heavily leaning Tennessee according to 247Sports.

The Crimson Tide are also in on Wright as well. Alabama could potentially land one or two tackles from the remaining uncommitted group to add to their growing group of offensive line recruits at the moment.

Prediction: Tennessee

  • High School: Amite
  • Composite Ranking: No. 9, No. 1 DT
  • Interested Programs: LSU, Alabama, Texas A&M, Auburn, Clemson

The top defensive tackle recruit in the nation is an individual that can swallow up an offensive line. Ishmael Sopsher is a 6’3.5″ and 334-pound defensive tackle with a powerful frame that is going to be tough for opposing offensive lines to contain.

He’s the perfect defensive tackle to plug in the middle to close up shop on running lanes. The Amite product could be choosing to stay in Louisiana to play for LSU. With the bevy of running backs in the SEC, having a defensive tackle that can shut down the run game would be a huge get.

Ed Orgeron and his staff are putting together a great recruiting class and adding any additional uncommitted recruit could give them the leg up on their competition in the SEC. However, Sopsher will be saving his commitment announcement for signing day in February.

Scheduled Commitment Time: Feb. 6 12:00 p.m.

Prediction: LSU
