FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 18, 2018
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Tomas Satoransky (at ATL – $4,700): Needs 19.9 fantasy points. Satoransky had 30.3 fantasy points against the Lakers on Dec. 16. He’s getting solid minutes and has shown a high ceiling. The matchup is good and he could earn some extra minutes because of it. He puts up numbers in all categories, but it’s reliable in any one category. The salary is good based on the minutes he plays and the matchup. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but high ceiling and a great matchup.
Jalen Brunson (at DEN – $4,500): Needs 19.1 fantasy points. Who knows what the status of Smith Jr. is. Barea plans on playing and if he does end up suiting up, I like a bit more than Brunson just because of his ceiling. But if those guys are out, Brunson makes for a strong option given the minutes he typically plays. The matchup is tough, which is a concern, but someone has to contribute at the position. Diagnosis: Could be good circumstances. But don’t make a decision until the injury report is clearer.
Cory Joseph (vs CLE – $4,300): Needs 18.2 fantasy points. With Darren Collison struggling, Joseph has picked up the slack. He’s gotten plenty of minutes and is proving to be a reliable player given his salary. The matchup is good and should lead to more minutes for Joseph. He can do a bit of everything, which helps his overall value. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
