With their third, and final first round selection next April, the Oakland Raiders may want to add to their wide receiver group. Picking this late in round one, the top wideouts will likely be off the board, but instead of guys like N’Keal Harry and AJ Brown, the Raiders could get another proven collegiate wideout in Marquise Brown.

During his time at Oklahoma, Brown has rounded himself into being one of the best wideouts in college football, and has played a big role in the success of Baker Mayfield, and Kyler Murray. He is definitely a first round talent, and with a gaping hole at the top of their depth chart at wide receiver, the Raiders would have an immediate need for him.

During the trade deadline, the Raiders traded away Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys, and incredibly, quarterback Derek Carr has played better since then. He is playing at a very high level without any real weapons at the wide receiver position, so adding a player of Brown’s caliber makes a lot of sense this late in round one.

Oakland has a long way to go until they are a serious contender in the AFC West, which boasts two of the best teams in the conference right now. Having three first round picks in 2019 is a start, and if they can hit on these picks, and the two first rounders in 2020, they should be locked and loaded heading into their move to Las Vegas in two years.
