2018 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Odds And Prediction
Bowl season is finally upon us! We had six bowl games to kick us off on Saturday. Now we have at least one bowl game per day until January 2nd with the exception of Christmas. This is going to be a fun ride!

Being sent to Idaho the week of Christmas when other teams are going somewhere warm seems like a punishment. Will either of these teams see it like that, or are they going to enjoy the Smurf Turf?
I did pretty well to open bowl season on Saturday with my against the spread picks. We can make some money on these games. Are you with me?
For the rest of the bowls, you will get my picks against the spread and point wagers just like I did all season long. I had a solid regular season, but I can make it look a whole lot better with a strong bowl season!
Just in case you missed any:
Autonation Cure Bowl
Progressive New Mexico Bowl
Mitsubishi Motors Las Vegas Bowl
Raycom Media Camellia Bowl
R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl
Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl
DXL Frisco Bowl
Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl
Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl
Western Michigan vs. BYU(-12.5) at Boise, ID(4):
Western Michigan 7-5, 5-3 (t-2nd MAC West):
Wins: vs. Delaware State(68-0), at Georgia State(34-15), at Miami(OH)(40-39), vs. Eastern Michigan(27-24), at Bowling Green(42-35), at Central Michigan(35-10), vs. Northern Illinois(28-21)
Losses: vs. Syracuse(42-55), at Michigan(3-49), vs. Toledo(24-51), vs. Ohio(14-59), at Ball State(41-42)
Record vs. bowl teams: 2-4
This team stumbled when Jon Wassink was hurt, but Kaleb Eleby has played better lately. This team is carried by backs Jamauri Bogan (yes, he’s still there!) and LeVante Bellamy. As good as RB’s are in the MAC, Bellamy could be the best, and he has barely managed to hold off the veteran Bogan this year. The problem is that the defense doesn’t always hold up their end of the bargain.
BYU 6-6:
Wins: at Arizona(28-23), at Wisconsin(24-21), vs. McNeese State(30-3), vs. Hawaii(49-23), at Massachusetts(35-16), vs. New Mexico State(45-10)
Losses: vs. California(18-21), at Washington(7-35), vs. Utah State(20-45), vs. Northern Illinois(6-7), at Boise State(16-21), at Utah(27-35)
Record vs. bowl teams: 2-6
Well, you can’t say that BYU didn’t test themselves. Washington won the Pac 12. Cal, Wisconsin, Utah State, Boise State, and Utah all spent at least part of the season ranked.
This team turned the corner offensively when freshman QB Zach Wilson took over. Lopini Katoa is a good back, but I still don’t think that this offense is all that great. The defense is a different story led by Sione Takitaki and Corbin Kaufusi.
Prediction:
This is one of the better draws for BYU. Their run defense hasn’t really been the problem this year. WMU is undersized anyway. How are they going to contain Corbin Kaufusi? He is going to live in the backfield, which means the Broncos wont have any room to run. If that’s the case, they are in a lot of trouble.
I am a little nervous that the spread has grown so large. I get it though. I’m just lowering the bet a little.
Pick: BYU
Stay tuned for the rest of the bowl picks against the spread, and our DFS picks for the NBA, NFL, and even some NHL action! We have something for everyone!
