Bowl season is finally upon us! We had six bowl games to kick us off on Saturday. Now we have at least one bowl game per day until January 2nd with the exception of Christmas. This is going to be a fun ride!

The Bahamas Bowl is one of the newer ones, but it seems like every year this is a wild and high scoring game. Will that continue this year? With an over/under of 56.5, it’s definitely possible.
I did pretty well to open bowl season on Saturday with my against the spread picks. We can make some money on these games. Are you with me?
For the rest of the bowls, you will get my picks against the spread and point wagers just like I did all season long. I had a solid regular season, but I can make it look a whole lot better with a strong bowl season!
Just in case you missed any:
Autonation Cure Bowl
Progressive New Mexico Bowl
Mitsubishi Motors Las Vegas Bowl
Raycom Media Camellia Bowl
R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl
Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl
DXL Frisco Bowl
Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl
Florida International vs. Toledo(-6.5) at Nassau, Bahamas(4):
Florida International 8-4, 6-2 (t-2nd CUSA East):
Wins: at Old Dominion(28-20), vs. Massachusetts(63-24), vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff(55-9), vs. Middle Tennessee State(24-21), vs. Rice(36-17), at Western Kentucky(38-17), at UTSA(45-7), at Charlotte(42-35)
Losses: vs. Indiana(28-38), at Miami(FL)(17-31)), vs. Florida Atlantic(14-49), vs. Marshall(25-28)
Record vs. bowl teams: 1-3
The loss of Shawndarrius Phillips for the bowl game has caused this line to jump some here. Napoleon Maxwell was the leading rusher, but FIU definitely leaned on both. James Morgan and the passing game are really what made this team go. They really struggled in games in which they couldn’t pass.
Toledo 7-5, 5-3 (t-2nd MAC West):
Wins: vs. VMI(66-3), vs. Nevada(63-44), vs. Bowling Green(52-36), at Western Michigan(51-24), vs. Ball State(45-13), at Kent State(56-34), vs. Central Michigan(51-13)
Losses: vs. Miami(FL)(24-49), at Fresno State(27-49), at Eastern Michigan(26-28), vs. Buffalo(17-31), at Northern Illinois(15-38)
Record vs. bowl teams: 2-5
Toledo played well down the stretch, and it had a lot to do with the emergence of RB Bryant Koback. He looks like the next in a long line of really good Toledo backs. Eli Peters settled down some later in the season, but this team is carried by Koback right now. This Toledo offense scored more than 40 points in four of the last five games. Only the stout Northern Illinois held them under.
Prediction:
Toledo is running the ball so well I just don’t see them losing this. Look at what FAU did to FIU. It was all because they couldn’t stop the run. If the Panthers haven’t figured that out, this is going to be the most lopsided Bahamas Bowl in history.
Pick: Toledo
Stay tuned for the rest of the bowl picks against the spread, and our DFS picks for the NBA, NFL, and even some NHL action! We have something for everyone!
