DraftKings EuroLeague Basketball Picks December 20
Our big week of DraftKings EuroLeague continues with the second round of the week. The same eight teams that were in action on Tuesday are going again today. Where is the value on this slate, and what in the world happened to Darrun Hilliard? He only played three minutes!

The rotations can be frustrating sometimes as more players see the court than in your average NBA game. The games themselves are also shorter, playing four ten minute quarters as opposed to 12 minutes in the NBA. The court is smaller, the lane is bigger, and the three point line is closer, but the action is still what you would expect from world class basketball!
For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value.

Guards:
Podgorica did a good job on Micic uh on Tuesday, but CSKA is going to have trouble with him in this one. I didn’t care for Micic as much on Tuesday, but to me the Efes backcourt is the one that’s really stack worthy this afternoon. The issue is who to use with Micic. Rodrigue Beaubois has the most upside, but Krunoslav Simon and Shane Larkin have alternated big scores lately as well. Beaubois’ worst game of the last five rounds was when Efes got production from both Simon and Larkin. It also seems to be that that is when Efes is at their best. Micic is the only one I would play with any confidence. The price on Simon and Larkin is tempting, but it’s also too high to be considered a value, and they still aren’t the second option.
Matt Janning is the obvious pivot off of Micic. He put up 26.5 DraftKings points in just 24 minutes against Gran Canaria on Tuesday. Janning’s recent strong play should continue here against Barcelona.
It’s Olympiacos’s turn to go wild on Gran Canaria. I could see using Vassilis Spanoulis as your top guard today in this great matchup. Just keep in mind that he may have his minutes limited just like Janning did in a game that could get out of hand. I also like Janis Strelnieks as a value pick here since he should see quite a few shots against Gran Canaria and maybe even a few extra minutes.
Marko Guduric is one of the few mid range options that I really like today. Guduric has 67.25 DraftKings points in the last two rounds, but the matchup against Podgorica, who just shut down a lot of the Efes backcourt, is making me a bit nervous. Still, one of those two games was against CSKA, who is a top five guard defense in the EuroLeague.
Luca Vildoza was one of the few pieces of my lineups that hit on Tuesday, and I’m going back to the well here. This is a strong matchup with Baskonia, and Vildoza seems to be playing better than any other Baskonia guard right now.
As with Tuesday, Albert Oliver remains a strong value pick since the minutes are there. Unlike Tuesday, I would actually consider using Strelnieks instead based on the matchup today. You could probably use both if you want to go nuts with forwards.

Forwards:
Jan Vesely ravaged CSKA on Tuesday, and sees his price jump all the way to the top against Podgorica. Moerman had a good game against Efes on Tuesday, and now gets CSKA tonight. This is really a judgment call here, but I’m more inclined to take Moerman at a little cheaper considering what Vesely did to this team two days ago.

Honestly, Nikola Milutinov may be better than both of them. Gran Canaria is the worst defensive team in the Euroleague. We just have to beware of a blowout.
Will Clyburn could be flying a little under the radar here, but he held his own against Fenerbahce on Tuesday and gets a very nice matchup with Efes tonight.
It’s taken me a few weeks, but I’m finally off of Adam Hanga. Zach LeDay has more potential at a lower price today. Joffrey could be as good as both of them, and he is a lot less.
I find it really hard to take a run with any Gran Canaria player right now, but if you are so inclined, Ondrej Balvin looks like the safest. Eulis Baez has the most potential, but it also the most volatile. I would still rather find the extra $200 for Joffrey or use Alec Peters instead.
Tibor Pleiss almost looks too cheap here. Most will go with Baez, but Pleiss is more consistent and should carry much lower ownership.
Kyle Hines finally has a good matchup again, and could be in play for me as a value play here. Anzejs Pasecniks is in play too, but his minutes may go down a little if Gran Canaria manages to keep this close. If Baskonia is going back to Shavon Shields off the bench, he could be worth a look once again. He had his best game in almost a month on Tuesday.
