NHL DFS Man Advantage Thursday December 20th

Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Thursday night December 20th! Tonight we get a massive 12 game slate to delve into. With this many games on the slate it is difficult to break them all down yourself so I am going to help you with my Man Advantage article here. I have gone through the games and picked out my favorite plays at goaltender and on the ice for you. 

NHL DFS Goalies:

My top NHL DFS goalie choice for tonight is Ben Bishop ($7,900) in a matchup with Chicago. The Blackhawks come in losers of 12 of their last 15 games and have only scored 8 goals in their last 3. Bishop is coming in off a 21 save shutout of the Flames on Tuesday. In his last 10 games Bishop is 5-3-1 with a 2.28 GAA and a .924 SV%.

If you are looking to pay up the top three priced goalies are good options with all three of them having easily winnable games. Frederik Andersen ($8,400) vs Florida, Pekka Rinne ($8,300) @ Philadelphia, and Sergei Bobrovsky ($8,200) vs New Jersey.

Looking at the low-priced goalies whoever ends up in net for Carolina ($7,500) is a good choice. Detroit has lost 4 straight and has scored a measly 9 goals in those 4 games.

NHL DFS Top Plays:

High Tier

David Pastrnak ($7,800) – Pastrnak has been the Bruins best player of late, especially with Patrice Bergeron out. In his last 10 games Pastrnak has 2 goals and 11 assists and is averaging 5.2 FPPG and 20 minutes per game.

Mitch Marner ($7,000) – In Marner’s last 2 games he has 3 goals and in his last 2 games against the Panthers he also has 3 goals, plus he’s also added an assist. Toronto’s top line of Marner, John Tavares ($7,300) and Zach Hyman ($4,300) is a good stacking option as well

Aleksander Barkov ($6,700) – The Florida captain was recently voted the leagues most underrated player by his peers and I tend to agree. In the Panthers last 4 games Barkov has 4 goals and 2 assists. Like Toronto’s first line in this game, the Panthers top line is also a top play ( Jonathan Huberdeau ($5,900) and Mike Hoffman ($6,400)

Mid Tier

Seth Jones ($6,400) – Jones is the Blue Jackets top D man and plays alongside Ryan Murray ($4,00) and is also the captain of the Blue Jackets number PP unit. In his last ten Jones has 4 goals and 6 assist as well as averaging 4.9 FPPG and has a game against the Devils who have allowed 24 goals in their last 5 games.

Brock Boeser ($6,400) – I usually try to give you guys at all different prices but with the way both Jones, and now, Boeser have been playing I wanted to put both of them in here. In his last 4 games Boeser has 3 goals and 3 assists while averaging just over 5 FPPG.

Sebastian Aho ($5,700) –  Aho is averaging more than a point per game with 10 goals and 33 points in 31 games this season. In his last 4 games Aho has 4 goals and 3 assists and is averaging an insane 7.12 FPPG.

Value Tier

Miro Heiskanen ($4,800) – Heiskanen my be forgotten with the return of John Klingberg ($6,300) returning to the lineup. He might see his TOI drop a little but he has been playing so well that the Stars should still want to keep his minutes up. In his last 10 games Heiskanen has 3 goals and 4 assists as well as averaging 3.4 FPPG.

Ryan Pullock ($4,500) – Pullock comes into tonight’s game off back to back 2 assist games. In his last 10 Pullock has 1 goal and 6 assists while averaging 3.4 FPPG. Pullock plays on the Islanders 2nd D pair and 2nd PP unit while playing over 22 minutes per game.

Artturi Lehkonen ($3,600) – With how well Lehkonen has been playing he is severely under priced tonight. Over his last 10 games Lehkonen has 4 goals and 3 assists playing on the Canadiens 3rd line with Paul Byron ($3,900) and Jesperi Kotkaniemi ($3,500).

NHL DFS Line Stacks

Pittsburgh 1 .. This line is HOT, scoring both goals last night for the Pens

Columbus 1 

Dallas 1 .. There is some value here with Denis Gurianov ($3,100) playing on this line

Philadelphia 2 .. More of a mini stack leaving Wayne Simmonds ($3,800) out

Tampa Bay and Calgary have a potential high scoring game tonight making both teams top two scoring lines playable here, but I do prefer Tampa Bay 2, but if Louis Domingue starts Calgary 1 becomes my favorite line here.

Winnipeg 1
