DraftKings EuroLeague Basketball Picks December 21
We have a two round week in the EuroLeague this week. There are a bunch of high priced players, but their matchups aren’t as favorable as they were on Wednesday. Who do we attack this with?

The rotations can be frustrating sometimes as more players see the court than in your average NBA game. The games themselves are also shorter, playing four ten minute quarters as opposed to 12 minutes in the NBA. The court is smaller, the lane is bigger, and the three point line is closer, but the action is still what you would expect from world class basketball!
For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value.

Guards:
Mike James has a similarly tough matchup today, but he still put up 36 DraftKings points against the Munich backcourt on Wednesday. Olympiacos is good, but James is the best right now, and it’s not even close. Bad matchup or not, James was still the highest scoring player on the slate. Only four more touched 30. You’re still getting what you pay for in James.
Nick Calathes rebounded this week with a strong Wednesday, and gets a great matchup with Milan here. You can likely either afford one or the other, but Calathes looks like an acceptable fade to James. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with that title though.
Scottie Wilbekin had a solid game in a bad matchup on Wednesday. He should be tagged for a bounceback against Zalgiris today, and makes for a great second guard. I also like DeAndre Kane, and can make a case for stacking the Tel Aviv backcourt here with Michael Roll as well.
Stefan Markovic and Dee Bost continue to do pretty well as fill ins for Shved, but combined they don’t even reach his value. I’m more including to go with Stefan Jovic or the Curtis Jenkins if you want to stay in the Khimki backcourt.
Maodo Lo and Leo Westermann are turning out to be pretty consistent value plays. Truth be told though, I think I’m riding Markel Brown again, even in a less favorable matchup. Arturas Milaknis is the most consistent value play that you can find at guard today.
Forwards:
This is not a great matchup for Brandon Davies, but I don’t even know that I care anymore. He has only been below 30 DraftKings points once in the last five rounds, and it wasn’t earlier this week. Gustavo Ayon and Jordan Mickey are the only ones I would consider fading Davies for this round.

I like to see a consistent player in a good matchup because then you know the upside is there for you. That’s where we’re at with Michael Eric today. Rudy Fernandez is also worth a look if you feel like messing with the Madrid front. To me, Ayon is the only safe one.
After seeing what Williams did to Zalgiris, I’m interested in Michael Eric as well going against the same Zalgiris front today. Jeremy Evans is a strong mid range pick as well.
My general feeling is that Anthony Gill will remain out because Khimki really doesn’t need him against Darussafaka. That leaves Malcolm Thomas as a very strong mid range play. Jeremy Evans on the other side is worth a look as well.
Alex Tyus is slowly pulling out of bargain territory, but his price still makes him worth a look against Zalgiris. Matt Lojeski and Tony Crocker are good plays in this tier as well.
Jon Diebler was probably the best frontcourt player for Darussafaka on Wednesday. There is good value here against Khimki if he gets run in this game. Sergey Monia is also a great value play if Gill is held out again.
