Good luck, and cash out!
Fantasy Football: NFL Draftkings Lock Plays Week 16
Baker Mayfield vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Salary: $6,100
The dangerous man, Baker Mayfield, gets to lead the Cleveland Browns against the Cincinnati Bengals who are struggling and struggling bad. Since taking over the offense, Mayfield is completing 64% of his passes, going for 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He has a quarterback rating of 92% also. Their offense is ranked 16th, averaging 234 yards through the air but they are also backed up by a strong running game that averages 121 yards. In his past three games, he has thrown 4 touchdowns but when he faced the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 12, Mayfield threw 4 touchdowns alone.
While he isn’t the most dominate quarterback, he can easily dominate this Cincinnati team once again. The Bengals rank 29th defending the pass, allowing teams to average 290 yards through the air while ranking 29th defending the run, allowing 140 yards per game. Another positive note is that the Bengals allow teams to put up 29 points or more a game! In their last meeting, the Browns put up 35 points which just makes this repeat of a match-up an easy call.

Christian McCaffrey vs. Atlanta Falcons
Salary: $8,800
Now this is a lock play that we have no clue how it’ll play out. McCaffrey will be without Cam Newton for the first time in his career as he was just hit with the “Out for the rest of the season” tag earlier this week. But we also heard some chatter that they would fall back on the workload for McCaffrey. I don’t think you can do that with a fresh, new starting quarterback. McCaffrey is averaging 70 yards rushing and 55 yards receiving per game.
The only I part I see declining is the usage in his receiving game but who knows, maybe Taylor Heinicke will fall on McCaffrey more. He has 13 touchdowns on the season, 7 rushing and 6 receiving. During week 2, McCaffrey only had 37 rushing yards off of 8 carries which he hasn’t hit that low of a number for carries since week 6. Since then, McCaffrey has been a monster. He hasn’t scored below 20 fantasy points since Week 11. He has scored 17, 52.7, 34.1, 28.1, and 26 fantasy points.
Now on the defensive side of things, the Falcons rank 25th in defending the run, allowing rushers to average 126 yards per game. The Falcons have allowed 5 rushing touchdowns also in their past five game but they did shut down the running game of the New Orleans Saints. But other then that, the running game and back field has been on the more dominant and consistent side when any team faces the Falcons.
Also, since Christian McCaffrey is a pass catching back, the Falcons also rank 22nd in defending the pass, allowing 251 yards per game. This is screaming for a big game for Christian McCaffrey, especially with Cam Newton being out and the Panthers heavily leaning on McCaffrey to lead the offense.
Fantasy Football: NFL Draftkings Lock Plays Week 16
JuJu Smith-Schuster vs. New Orleans Saints
Salary: $8,000
We’re shooting the dice on JuJu Smith-Schuster once again! The Pittsburgh Steelers get to face the New Orleans Saints in Week 16 which could be a shootout. Also JuJu Smith-Schuster promised his fantasy football owners that he’ll help them in winning their championship this weekend. That’s one promise that no football player should make because we know exactly how these fans can react. Now Smith-Schuster has only had 3 bad weeks of fantasy football, one being last week where he scored just 8 lonely points. But on the season, he is averaging 20.2 fantasy points a game. JuJu is avergaing 91 receiving yards per game and has 6 touchdowns on the year.
We just have to remember that the other receiver lining up with him is Antonio Brown, a man that can easily take the looks and passes from him. But while we remember that, we also know all of the attention is on Antonio Brown, making it easier for JuJu to go off against any defense. He is averaging close to 8 targets a game, catching 67% of those targets. But he gets to go up against a New Orleans Saints defense that makes it too easy for any receiver to go off on.
The Saints are ranked pretty poorly, ranking 28th against the pass, allowing 262 yards per game. The Saints have only allowed 3 receiving touchdowns in the past five games and also just one receiver to go for over a hundred yards. But in all of those games, there have been multiple receivers to get yards. So while the Saints are able to keep receivers under the hundred yard mark, they just can’t shut them all down. Plus this will be a game where it is relied on with Drew Brees and Ben Rothlisberger, making this a shoot-out with more opportunities for JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Fantasy Football: NFL Draftkings Lock Plays Week 16
Blake Jarwin vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Salary: $3,000
Now this is a complete risk play versus a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that can not shut down tight ends! Basically like “Centers versus Brooklyn”. I just can’t pass it up. Now there isn’t a whole lot we can go off of with Blake Jarwin as he is a rookie and just now taking over for injured Geoff Swaim. Jarwin is averaging 10 yards per reception as he has 180 yards off of 18 catches. When he took over last week, he finished with 45 yards off of 4 catches. Since he started seeing snaps, his playing has gone up, starting with just 2 targets in his first game and in the past two weeks, he has seen 7 targets in both games. He put 8.5 fantasy points last week and 12.6 fantasy points the week before that.
He has easily been able to return value when the playing time is there which makes this match-up versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers perfect! But the horrible down side to playing Blake Jarwin is that out of all four tight ends on the Dallas Cowboys roster, they have only scored one touchdown. But honestly, with this match-up against the Buccaneers, we still shouldn’t pass it up because Jarwin can easily return value and if he finds the end-zone once, you’ll most likely be in a better position then majority of the tight ends on this slate. He won’t be chalk also, we should already know that.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense hasn’t really improved, their offense has just been working a little bit harder under the new regime. The Buccaneers rank 27th in defending the pass, allowing offenses to average 258 yards through the air. The Buccaneers defense is allowing tight ends to average around 7 receptions for 70 yards per game. It screams lock play for Blake Jarwin!
Fantasy Football: NFL Draftkings Lock Plays Week 16
Amari Cooper vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Salary: $7,500
Amari Cooper has been a whole different animal since being traded to the Dallas Cowboys. It’s like he went from a bad team to a somewhat decent team. Amari Cooper is averaging 73 yards per game, averaging 14.5 yards per reception. He has found the end-zone just 7 times this season, all but one have came with the Dallas Cowboys also.

Being one of the main receivers on this Cowboys squad, Amari Cooper sees around 8 targets per game so the opportunities are always there for him. But in his past five games, you can see his inconsistent plays because he has scored 6.6, 41, 14.6, 52.7, and 8.3 fantasy points. But when he is in line for a major game, he pays off very easily. Now he gets to face this struggling Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that will surely have some issues stopping him.
I have already covered that the Buccaneers are ranked 27th in defending the pass, allowing 258 yards per game. They also allow the number one receivers to average around 8 receptions and 73 receiving yards per game. The Buccaneers also allow the third most points against them which is 28 points per game.
When you combine all of these numbers together, not like math combining because I hate math, it just means that Amari Cooper will have the perfectly opportunity to go off against a weak Buccaneers team. The last time we called for the lock play on Amari Cooper, he went off for 41 fantasy points and we hope that he can do that once again.
