Juventus face Roma at Allianz Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 22. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Juventus are undefeated in Serie A as they head into the weekend. On Saturday, Juventus welcome Roma to the Allianz Stadium. Roma are seventh in the table with 24 points, 22 points behind Juventus.
Juventus defeated city rivals, Torino, last weekend, winning 1-0. Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 11th goal of the season and is justifying the high fee that Juventus paid for him. The Portuguese superstar has formed a strong partnership with Mario Mandzukic, who has scored seven times. While Ronaldo gets all of the headlines, Juventus have been excellent in their own half. Juve have kept five straight clean sheets and have conceded only eight goals this season. Despite being 34 years old, Giorgio Chiellini is still one of the best center-backs in Europe.
Roma beat Genoa 3-2 last weekend but the performance was not pretty. The pressure is on Eusebio Di Francesco, who has been rumored to be on the hot seat all season. Another loss for Roma could be the end for Di Francesco. Edin Dzeko will miss another game with an injury. Roma’s lack of a striker to step in for Dzeko has really hurt Roma’s attack. The capital club has scored eight goals in their eight road games. If Di Francesco is going to keep his job, he needs to find someone capable of scoring goals up top.
