DraftKings EuroLeague Basketball Picks December 27
We have a two round week in the EuroLeague this week. There are a bunch of high priced players, but their matchups aren’t as favorable as they were on Wednesday. Who do we attack this with?

The rotations can be frustrating sometimes as more players see the court than in your average NBA game. The games themselves are also shorter, playing four ten minute quarters as opposed to 12 minutes in the NBA. The court is smaller, the lane is bigger, and the three point line is closer, but the action is still what you would expect from world class basketball!
For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value.

Guards:
Mike James has a good matchup today, and we get the benefit of his price being down after a pedestrian (for him) 29 DraftKings points against Olympiacos last round. Now the good news: James was just 2-13 from the field in this one. Expect him to be back on track against Tel Aviv.
I don’t like the matchup for Micic or Matt Janning, but Janning has been so consistent against every opponent that I would consider him in cash games. If you aren’t playing cash, Rodrigue Beaubois has much better upside and a slightly better matchup. However, my targets in this range will remain Vassilis Spanoulis and Scottie Wilbekin. Darussafaka and Milan have had serious issues against opposing guards.
Scottie Wilbekin had a solid game in a bad matchup on Wednesday. He should be tagged for a bounceback against Zalgiris today, and makes for a great second guard. I also like DeAndre Kane, and can make a case for stacking the Tel Aviv backcourt here with Michael Roll as well.
The price on Nigel Williams-Goss is finally to the point that I would consider using him in a great matchup. When it comes down to it, Spanoulis is probably the better bet, but I’m not opposed to using both here today. If you don’t feel up to using both, Toney Douglas is still a strong play.
The three headed monster of Dee Bost, Stefan Markovic, and Charles Jenkins has done a pretty good job with Shved out, but none of them are really consistent. Bost is my favorite of the three, but it’s hard to ignore the price on Jenkins when his numbers are almost the same.
I don’t know that we can call Michael Roll a value pick, but he looks good here today. Kevin Pangos is starting to come around, and is capable of more than anyone else in this price range.
Markel Brown is still way too cheap. If you are using James, the value on Brown is a must. Curtis Jerrells is worth a look for your UTIL slot as well.
Forwards:
Nikola Milutinov is easily the best forward, and there are enough value guards on the slate that you can pair both him and Mike James. That’s the formula I’m looking to follow, and I wont be alone. That could keep the ownership low on other mid tier players, but you really have to hit right to catch the James/Milutinov build.

If you are leaving Mulutinov, Michael Eric is probably the next best bet, and it’s all due to his large role in the offense. Poirier and Shengelia often poach each other. Eric is pretty much all that Darussafaka has up front.
There are a whole lot of good matchups in the middle tier here. It can be hard to separate them. I find myself leaning towards Zach LeDay over Printezis simply because LeDay usually has a solid game alongside Printezis. Printezis has been a dud when LeDay goes off. You could avoid this completely and go with the exciting Johnny O’Bryant.
Jeremy Evans remains a great constant in the middle tier, and is one of my favorites for cash games. I would even consider pairing him with Eric for a little used Darussafaka stack.
Angelo Caloiaro continues to play well to little fanfare. I would prefer him to anyone in the Barcelona frontcourt with the exception of Pierre Oriola. Oriola is getting more run lately since seemingly everyone else in the front has gone cold.
Shavon Shields is back on my radar as a value play. After bombarding Gran Canaria off the bench, he finished off last week with a similarly strong performance against Barcelona. I really like this matchup against Khimki as well.
