The Miami Hurricanes will meet up with the Wisconsin Badgers on Thursday, Dec. 27 in the 2018 Pinstripe Bowl from Yankee Stadium.
Entering the 2018 college football season, the Miami Hurricanes and Wisconsin Badgers were both looked upon as potential College Football Playoff contenders. Despite the talent for both teams, however, they fell well short of their mark. Yet they’ll have a chance to end the season with a winning effort as they face off inside Yankee Stadium on Thursday afternoon in the 2018 Pinstripe Bowl.
As has often been the case, the success of Wisconsin is predicated on the run game, which starts with Jonathan Taylor. The sophomore running back is a wrecking ball with the combo of size, speed and power to make a play whenever he touches the rock. With a vaunted offensive line in front of him, the Badgers no doubt have a weapon. However, their defense has been less than ideal this season.
Meanwhile, the story for Miami has often been the opposite case this season. While the likes of Gerald Willis, Michael Jackson and the Hurricanes defense can be lethal, the offense — whether with Malik Rosier or N’Kosi Perry at quarterback — has been all over the place. In truth, the quarterback play has held this team back in a big way.

The Wisconsin defense may truthfully be the biggest key to determining the outcome of this one. If they can step up and make plays against the mistake-prone Miami offense, the Badgers have the grinding offense to find enough success to control the clock and ride it to a win.
