Southampton face West Ham at St. Mary’s Stadium on Thursday, Dec. 27. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The Premier League season reaches its midway point with nine games on Boxing Day. The lone game that is not on Boxing Day, is the Thursday game between Southampton and West Ham at St. Mary’s Stadium. The Saints are fighting to remain above the relegation zone. While the Hammers are comfortably in the middle of the table.

Southampton’s decision to fire Mark Hughes and hire Ralph Hasenhuttl has completely turned around the Saints season. When Hasenhuttl took over, Southampton were in the relegation zone and had scored only 12 goals in their first 15 games. In their first three games under Hasenhuttl, the Saints have won two of three games and have scored six goals. After shocking Arsenal, Southampton returned last weekend and beat Huddersfield 3-1. The two straight wins moved the Saints three points clear of the relegation zone. Danny Ings leads the club with seven goals this season and has scored three goals in his last two games.

West Ham lost 2-0 against Watford last weekend, ending a four game winning streak. Manuel Pellegrini’s team have been hit hard with injuries to their strikers and midfielders. Marko Arnautovic, Andriy Yarmolenko, Manuel Lanzini, and Jack Wilshere are among the players sidelined with injuries. Felipe Anderson and Javier Hernandez have both played well in place of Arnautovic and Yarmolenko. Anderson leads the club with six goals and has scored five times in the last eight games. While Hernandez has scored three goals in his last five games. The duo will lead the attack for West Ham, as the Hammers look to get back in the win column.
