Do you play NBA FanDuel cash games? In this article, my goal will be to give you some targets at each position for tonight’s NBA action. I hope you find this informative, and I also hope I can help build your bankroll by helping you build a winning cash lineup.

For those new to daily fantasy sports or DFS, NBA FanDuel cash games are simply the games in the Fanduel lobby that are 50/50 or close to that to win. These are basically all of the games other than the tournaments, and guaranteed prize pool tournaments (GPP’s). Head-to-Head’s (H2H), 50/50, and double-ups would best summarize cash games.

NBA FanDuel: Cash Game Targets: 12/29/18

Alright we made it to Saturday, and I hope you are having a solid weekend thus far, and I also hope it only gets better.

In this almost daily article, I will go over players to target at each position for tonight’s 8-game main slate, starting at 7:00 ET. If you are finding this piece for the first time, here is a quick breakdown of what will happen here.

I will give one target at each of the guard and forward positions, and one center. Following the picks, will be the ever popular “sample lineup” we like to do here at FantasyCPR.  All targets in this article will be safe floor, cash games plays.

With NBA DFS, I can’t stress enough how important it is to not just plug-and-play these sample lineups. There is so much info that will drop over the course of the day for NBA, and you never truly know what to expect.

If you want to be a consistent winner for NBA, lock starts at 7PM ET on most week nights. Plan on being ready to tinker those lineups last second, accounting for all of that fabulous NBA news that nobody was expecting five minutes before, or even AFTER lock. It happens all of the time, so if you set your lineup now and forget it, it’s probably not going to work out for you in the long run.

NEW ORLEANS, LA – APRIL 19: Damian Lillard #0 of the Portland Trail Blaers stands on the court as his team trails the New Orleans Pelicans during Game 3 of the Western Conference playoffs against the Portland Trail Blazers at the Smoothie King Center on April 19, 2018 in New Orleans, Louisiana. PG – Damian Lillard – Portland Trail Blazers – $8,700

It is going to be very tough for me to back to Lillard another night, as he has failed to reach 40 FDP in each of the last two games. As DFS players, we are not supposed to let recency bias get in the way. However, it is always harder when it comes down to those last guys in those late games, and you have that failure etched in your brain.

This position is rough in my opinion. Walker seems a tad overpriced as he is approaching $10K, and there just isn’t much to choose from in the $6-8K range today. Emmanuel Mudiay will likely end up a chalky play today at $5,800, but after that, your guess is as good as mine.

The bottom line here is that Lillard is one of the best in the league at his position, and he is under $9K. Anytime a player of this caliber is under priced to a point where it is noticeable, he has to be considered. Despite no “huge” games from Lillard lately, I still feel this price is a bit low.

***Value Plays: Collin Sexton $5,100 – Tomas Satoransky $3,800 (If Wall remains out!)***

SG – James Harden – Houston Rockets – $12,500

Welcome to Chalk City, New Orleans, where the short-handed Rockets will bring their 8-9 man rotation, in what expects to be the highest scoring game of the night. I think your cash lineup needs to start with The Beard tonight.

Harden has been a scoring machine as of late, scoring no less that 35 points in each of the last six games, and posting three 40+ nights in that span. He is coming off a 45 point game against the Celtics, and he scored 41 on Christmas Day against the Thunder.

There are other options today, such as Anthony Davis in this game, and Kevin Durant. But Hardens recent stretch, and the fact that Chris Paul remains out give him the edge. This game will have so many pieces that you can fit in your lineup, but I think Harden will end up the most important when it is all said and done.

***Value Plays: Andre Iguodala $4,300 – Austin Rivers $3,600***

NBA FanDuel: Cash Game Targets: 12/29/18

SF – Kevin Durant -Golden State Warriors – $10,700

Another position with tough pricing has me thinking outside the box for cash games, which is actually pretty normal for me. The masses will be on The Beard and The Brow as they battle in Cajun Country, but I am contemplating fading AD, and giving Durant a look.

The Warriors will face Portland once again, in yet another home-and-home, back-to-back series. Two nights ago, Durant was at his best, notching 58.5 FDP and a triple-double with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. Portland had plenty of trouble with KD, and I expect more of the same here.

I do not think we can successfully fit Anthony Davis and James Harden in the same lineup with enough around it to work. I do, however, think you can play one or the other and Durant, and that looks like the path to the cash on this slate at this point.

ATLANTA, GA – NOVEMBER 07: Noah Vonleh #32 of the New York Knicks draws a foul as he attempts a shot against Vince Carter #15, Taurean Prince #12 and Jeremy Lin #7 of the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena on November 7, 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia. NBA FanDuel: Cash Game Targets: 12/29/18

PF – Noah Vonleh – New York Knicks – $6,100

Tough match-up here for Vonleh and the Knicks as they will battle the Jazz in Utah, but Vonleh’s recent play and the fact that he is logging big minutes regardless of the outcome of the game has me very interested at this price.

It could be Kevin Knox who gets the run, and he is just $100 cheaper at $6K, but the recent play of Enes Kanter has me thinking both of these guys could be in for bigger roles sooner rather than later. Kanter has looked disinterested and almost lost for the last week or so on the court, and the result is a reduced role.

Vonleh has been solid, scoring no less than 30.5 FDP while playing close to 35 minutes a night over the last four games. This game likely will not be close, as the Jazz should have no problems with this Knicks squad, but the consistency of Vonleh as of late has me interested.

***Value Plays:  Jonas Jerebko $4,000 – Trey Lyles $3,900***

NBA FanDuel: Cash Game Targets: 12/29/18

C – Nikola Jokic – Denver Nuggets – $9,700

It was looking like we were going to get another Boban night, after he made his second straight start, but he was pulled two minutes into the second half last night and never returned. It is really too bad that situation with Marjanovich and Martin Gortat cannot be figured out for whatever reason, as one or the other would have made a solid value punt at $3,600, but with the way that game went last night, neither can be trusted yet again.

Jokic is all over the place as far as consistency goes, but he gets the ideal match-up with the Suns in Phoenix tonight. Both teams are on the second leg of a back-to-back, and Jokic did play 36 minutes last night, but this is easily the best play at this position tonight.

The Joker just missed the triple-double last night with a 21-9-9 stat line as he racked up 39.3 FDP. With a lack of depth here and nobody else I feel comfortable with, I am going to do my best to squeeze him in my lineup tonight

***Value Plays: Cody Zeller $5,000 – Thomas Bryant $4,400***
