2. Chuck Pagano

The Packers will obviously be looking for a coach that has experience working with quarterbacks. It makes sense that Jim Caldwell was one of the other names, and now Pagano, as they worked with Matt Stafford and Andrew Luck respectively. Pagano led the Colts to three consecutive 11-5 seasons, but never reached the Super Bowl. Although he did lead the team to that incredible 28-point comeback against the Chiefs in 2013.

Although defense is his forte having held numerous defensive coordinator positions, Pagano showed a great ability to get the most out of Andrew Luck. Pagano may be able to do something similar with Rodgers. A lot of success stems from the relationship between the head coach and quarterback, can Pagano create some chemistry with Rodgers and lead them back to the playoffs?

Pagano is also a great motivator and can turn around a locker room in a hurry. We saw evidence of that as he took a 2-14 team straight to 11-5 and in the playoffs. He could turn the Packers around in a hurry, something they desperately need.

Currently unemployed, Pagano would be much easier to pursue than a college coach. He also brings with him quite a coaching acumen and more experience than the others on the list. Pagano has already interviewed with the team, but it remains to be seen whether the team continues to pursue him.
