We have our first drippings of the NFL Playoff schedule, and the Dallas Cowboys are looking like a lock to play on Saturday night.
Now that the NFL playoffs are almost on lock, the big question now is the schedule, and it seems the NFL scheduling gods have their eyes on the Dallas Cowboys.
According to a tweet from Fort Worth Star-Telegram Cowboys beat writer Clarence Hill Jr., it is looking more likely that the Cowboys will be playing on Saturday night, which would put Dallas on primetime television.
Why are the Cowboys playing at night?
Well, could have something to do with FOX, who has the rights to do the early Wild Card game. More than likely, that game will be played in Chicago, and with FOX having the NFC rights, that would bump the Cowboys to the night game, where their opponent will, as of right now, be the Seattle Seahawks.
Per a source, FOX is doing the early wildcard game next Sunday from Chicago which means that Dallas will likely play Saturday night

Love it or hate it, the Cowboys being the nightcap of the opener of Wild Card weekend is a no-brainer for NBC. Dallas has always been the gold standard for ratings for any network that airs the Cowboys game.

So, NBC and the Cowboys go hand-and-hand, and to put them on primetime television is a great move by the NFL. The Cowboys are making their first playoff appearance since 2016, and their Wildcard game against the resurgent Seahawks will be must-see TV.
There will be a ton of Cowboys fans tuning in for the game, and, also, a ton of Cowboys haters, who would love nothing but to rub it in Dallas’ face if they stumble against Seattle. For both the Cowboys and the Seahawks, this is a game that many in the NFL world will be looking forward to.
