New Year, new you. Here’s what every NBA team should be setting as their goal for 2019.
It’s time to reign in the NBA’s New Year’s Eve with some timely New Year’s resolutions for 2019! Certain teams need to just work on consistency, while others need major overhauls, and a few just need to sprinkle in a few veterans. Others might have to cut back on public dinners to not jeopardize potential free agency signings by drawing too much ire of other teams, leading to memos… “For Basketball Reasons.” There’s never a better time to reflect on what’s working and what isn’t than the start of a new year!
There are teams that are going to have to decide a direction and make some tough decisions at the trade deadline, they’re going to have to commit to a vision. That vision could be a singular player or a ‘process’ as the Sixers once called it. Even tanking is a vision, not a fun one for ticket-purchasing fans in the stands but a vision nonetheless. The pendulum of wins and losses can still change at this point of the year, even those at the bottom of their respective conferences still have a chance, however, unlikely. All it takes is action.
