The UCF Knights look to extend their winning streak with another win over a giant from the SEC, this time against the LSU Tigers in the Fiesta Bowl.

Just about a year ago, the UCF Knights capped off a perfect season against the Auburn Tigers. Despite not many people giving the team a chance, they moved to 13-0 over an SEC team. Now entering the 2019 Fiesta Bowl, the Knights have still not lost, moving their winning streak to 25-straight games. And now they also face another SEC foe, the LSU Tigers.

Of course, UCF enters this game with a much different situation than last year. Not only has their defense proven all season to have taken a step back, but the Knights also lost starting quarterback McKenzie Milton to a season-ending injury late in the year. That takes critical leadership and, yes, a ton of talent off the field for this team.

Having said that, Darriel Mack Jr. has filled in phenomenally at quarterback thus far, including orchestrating a massive comeback in the AAC Championship Game for the Knights. With his speed and with Greg McRae in the backfield, we could see the Knights try to control the game with their rushing attack.

That’ll be easier said than done against this LSU defense. While they have some guys sitting out, the Tigers still boast a boatload of talent and speed on that side of the ball. What this game may come down to is if the Tigers offense, led by Joe Burrow, can consistently exploit and attack the UCF defense.
