Best Buy hours: New Year’s Day store hours at Best Buy

Some stores are known for their massive New Year’s Day sales, so it’s a good thing Best Buy is open on New Year’s Day for your shopping needs.

Best Buy is a popular destination during the holidays. Stores opened early on Thanksgiving Day to kick off the holiday shopping season, and even though the holidays are coming to an end there are still plenty of reasons to get to Best Buy. Thankfully, you can ring in the New Year at Best Buy because stores are open on the first day of 2019.

Stores will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on New Year’s Day, though hours could vary by location if your local Best Buy is in a mall that has special holiday hours.

Best Buy sells everything from home electronics to major appliances, and so it’s a great place for New Year’s Day shopping, especially if you’re looking to start 2019 off with new kitchen gadgets or use your Christmas gift cards for a major purchase.

Gift cards for Best Buy are a popular choice for holiday gifts, and there are plenty of people who wait for the best sales so that they can get the most bang for their buck. Be sure to check the Best Buy ad to see if they are having sales on items you’re looking for.

While lots of stores and restaurants are open on New Year’s Day, there are some important holiday closures to be aware of. Bank branches will be closed, and though ATMs and mobile banking are available there could be delays since it’s not a business day. Post offices will also be closed and that means there will be no mail or package delivery.

Other major retailers that will be open on New Year’s Day include Target, Kohl’s and Walmart, while Costco is closed.
