New Year’s Eve will close out 2018 and New Year’s Day will open 2019. In the meantime, can anyone frequent a McDonald’s on either day?
McDonald’s remains atop the nation in fast-food restaurants. Known for its classic burgers, fries and soft drinks, this continues to be the standard bearer in quick, convenient food for anyone in need of a meal while on the road or to just enjoy in general.
Usually, your local McDonald’s stays open throughout the year. Hours vary by location, but it is an ideal destination for breakfast, lunch and dinner, whichever you prefer or need. Breakfast is even served all day long, so that delicious Egg McMuffin can be had a 7:00 p.m. instead of 7:00 a.m.
However, like other fast-food restaurants, McDonald’s is not the ideal holiday meal. It will not serve up a fancy, three-course meal, and it is usually not found at a party.
That also means it does not fit into New Year’s as 2018 closes and 2019 arrives.
New Year’s is about spending time with family and friends to welcome a new, 365-day slate of goals and outlooks on everything. It becomes a wild celebration for a few hours, as the final day of 2018 ends and 2019 opens.
McDonald’s will not offer the champagne and party favors for New Year’s Eve, as it will close for the day.
Though on New Year’s Day, anyone who wants a burger, fries, soft drink or one of McDonald’s other food selections are in luck, because, of course, it will stay open.
Why open on New Year’s Day? For anyone who spends a lot of money on New Year’s Eve, it is not a bad idea to spend cheaply on food. A burger, fries and drink can probably be had for around five dollars.
Places like this should close on New Year’s Day, given how slow of a 24-hour window it is. That does not matter, though, because everyone can visit their nearest McDonald’s to open 2019.
