31. . Quarterback. Ohio State. Dwayne Haskins. 6. player

The New York Giants ended their season with a pretty terrible loss to the Dallas Cowboys, as they let a late lead slip through their fingers, and ended the year with five wins. The 2018 season was the first as the team’s head coach for Pat Shurmur, who survived Black Monday, but will need a solid 2019 if he is going to be the coach moving forward.

During the 2018 NFL Draft, the New York Giants picked at No. 2 overall, and instead of getting a franchise quarterback, they decided on Saquon Barkley. While Barkley is likely the NFL’s Rookie of the Year, it did very little to help put notches in the win column, and they still have a very old quarterback in Eli Manning.

The team has not committed to Manning in 2019, but the assumption is that they will go with him for one more year, and try to bring along a young signal-caller. If that is the case, they need to draft Dwayne Haskins with the No. 6 overall pick next April, letting him sit behind Manning to start, much like Manning did with Kurt Warner so many years ago.

Haskins only started one season for the Ohio State Buckeyes, but he has been given a first round grade by the scouts. He has yet to declare for the NFL Draft, but you have to believe that he will once the Rose Bowl is over, where he will try to lead his Buckeyes to a win against the Washington Huskies.
