Ticket prices for the National Championship Game are really cheap, and early projections point to Clemson fans outdrawing Alabama.
Alabama and Clemson fans have a long trip across the country to make it to Santa Clara for Mondayās National Championship Game. As a result, ticket prices continue to drop by the day and there could be countless empty seats at Leviās Stadium.
Regarding which team will travel the best and support their team in the title game, Vivid Seats,Ā nationās largest independent ticket marketplace based in Chicago has a crowd projection with Clemson fans outnumbering Alabama fans.
Alabama fans are well-known for their passion and loyalty to the program, but so too, are Clemson fans who are projected to hold 54 percent of the seats in Leviās Stadium compared to 46 percent for Alabama. And a large portion of theĀ Alabama fans in attendance will be part of the Tua Tagovailoa family.
Expect a lot of orange and purple in the stands, with plenty of crimson and white filling the rows and seats, but could that added fan support help give the Tigers a semblance of a home-field advantage?
That may be a bit extreme as there is no substitute for Clemson Memorial Stadium, otherwise known as Death Valley, but it does give Clemson fans some early bragging rights that they are supporting their teamās championship pursuit more than Alabama fans.
Of course, the only bragging rights that will matter is what the scoreboard says after these two great teams play on Monday night.
That said, Alabama fans have had a few more opportunities in recent years to experience a National Championship Game, including last year in nearby Atlanta, so they may have elected to save some cash on tickets, travel and lodging in favor of watching from the comfort of their home on ESPN.
Meanwhile, Clemson fans who were unable to catch the first two editions of the Alabama-Clemson National Championship Games may be looking at this as their opportunity to hit the West Coast and ring in the new year by seeing their favorite team play for their second title in the last three years.
For Alabama, the quickest way to make the majority crowd a little quieter is to do what they did to Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl and jump out to a 28-0 lead. Thatās the best way to silence a crowd and, even if they are outnumbered, they will be the ones making the most noise.
Be sure to tune in on Monday night at 8 p.m. EST to see if itāll be Alabama or Clemson fans are the ones smiling at the end of the night.
