5 Offseason moves the Baltimore Ravens have to make

2. Hire a new OC to work with Lamar Jackson
The Ravens deserve all of the credit in the world for completely changing their offensive gameplan to focus on Jackson’s strengths as a runner. Head coach John Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg scrapped their traditional offense for one heavy with pistol formations, jet motions and pulling offensive linemen, and it helped them run all over opposing defenses.
Unfortunately, the Cleveland Browns and Chargers finally gave defenses around the league a gameplan to slow this offense down. Jackson is bound to develop more as a passer this offseason, but if he’s really going to be able to take the next step, then the Ravens are going to need to find an offensive coordinator that can turn him into a franchise quarterback.
There are plenty of candidates that the Ravens could look at, but it would probably be a good idea to find someone out of the college ranks that knows how to run a more modern offensive system.
Someone like former Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury or Baylor’s Matt Rhule could be a great candidate, but there would be plenty of potential suitors interested in trying to turn Jackson into a superstar.
