FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 6, 2019
High Value SF
Players costing $6,667 or under
Trevor Ariza (at OKC – $6,300): Needs 26.5 fantasy points. Ariza had 35.6 fantasy points against the Heat on Jan. 4. You typically know what you’re getting from Ariza. The minutes are there and he does a bit of everything on most nights. I never feel great about the Wizards and the matchup is tough, but Ariza just gets numbers based on effort and smarts. I trust him to be smart enough to at least be reliable in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable.
TJ Warren (vs CHA – $6,200): Needs 26.1 fantasy points. Ariza’s value is still largely tied to his scoring, which is a bit of a concern when he’s not scoring. But he should be able to get buckets in this game because it’s the Hornets, a poor defense team. And the Hornets are on a back-to-back. Expect Warren to get his scoring numbers and chip in with a couple of assists. Diagnosis: Trust his scoring. Good ceiling.
Bojan Bogdanovic (at TOR – $5,500): Needs 23.2 fantasy points. Bogdanovic is nothing if not reliable. Minutes and chances are always there and he does a bit of everything on most nights. And has a decent ceiling because of the shots he gets. The matchup is tough, but I have little doubt about Bogdanovic’s game right now. He’ll do enough to at least get you value. Diagnosis: Reliable.
