The No. 2 Michigan Wolverines are ready to host the No. 21 Indiana Hoosiers. Indiana is looking for a landmark upset in this game, but it’ll be difficult for the Hoosiers to defeat the Wolverines on their own court

The Big Ten has a pretty good match up on its hands this Sunday. The Michigan Wolverines, the 2nd ranked team in men’s college basketball, are getting the opportunity to host the Indiana Hoosiers, the 21st ranked team. Or, you could look at it from the perspective of the Hoosiers attempting to take down one of the best teams in the country.

Michigan won’t be easily defeated though. The Wolverines have an incredibly stingy defense that will be difficult for anyone to score against. Opposing teams are only able to average 55.1 points per game against Michigan this season, and that’s good for third best nationally.

That means that the Wolverines are winning their games by an average of points per game.

The Indiana Hoosiers are going to have to have their best game of the year if they hope to compete with Michigan, let alone take down the Wolverines in their own home. The Hoosiers put 78.5 points per game up on the scoreboard and make 48 percent of their field goal attempts, but just 29.3 percent of their three pointers.

More than likely Indiana will need to hit some shots from deep to come out on top of this game.

This game will be difficult for the Indiana Hoosiers to keep up in. It’ll probably be low scoring, given how Michigan grinds their opponents down, and Indiana will have to play at a level that it has yet to hit if it wants to topple the Wolverines.
