For the second time in three years, and the third time in team history, the Clemson Tigers are National Champions. Clemson finished their historic 15-0 season with a 44-16 win over Alabama behind an impressive game from Trevor Lawrence, Justyn Ross and the Tigers defense.
The Crimson Tide was handed the worst defeat of Nick Saban’s tenure as Head Coach, and the Tigers took the National Championship in a dominant performance. The Tigers became the first team in modern college football to finish a season at 15-0, and the first to do it since Penn in 1897.
