NBA Power Rankings: Highs and lows for the Toronto Raptors
By Ian Levy
The Clippers offense has been humming right along but they’ve regressed a bit over the past few weeks as their defense has taken a major slide. Over their last nine games, they’re allowing 110.4 points per 100 possessions, a number that would rank 22nd in the league across the entire season. One of their major issues has been a propensity to foul — they’re second-worst in the NBA in opponent free throw attempts per 100 possessions, and that mark has climbed to 28.2 over their last nine games.
As exciting as this Clippers season has been, it still feels like a bridge to some unknown future. There is still too much tradable and redundant depth. The next move might clear a big portion of the roster for a star, but there are also some deals that could just net them some more marginal improvements and keep them in the running with this same basic core.
