High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Al Horford (vs IND – $6,500): Needs 29.2 fantasy points. Horford isn’t seeing quite as many minutes lately, but he’s still been producing. He’s been over 35 fantasy points in his last two games. And he typically plays well against the Pacers, averaging 36.7 fantasy points in his last four games against them. With the Pacers frontcourt, Horford may see increased minutes. Diagnosis: Minutes are a concern, but he’s been playing well in limited minutes.

Tristan Thompson (at NO – $6,200): Needs 27.9 fantasy points. Thompson had 41.1 fantasy points against the Pacers on Tuesday. Like I said prior to Tuesday’s game, someone has to get these points and rebounds for the Cavaliers and Thompson has been that guy. He had 34.2 fantasy points against the Pelicans on Jan. 5. He should be in for another big night on Wednesday. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Jarrett Allen (vs ATL – $5,800): Needs 26.1 fantasy points. Allen has been strong in recent games and now he gets the Hawks on a back-to-back. It helps that his salary has dropped as well. He should do enough with his scoring and rebounds to at least give you value. And he’ll chip in with defense to go over value. I worry about his minutes a little bit, but he should be good enough in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable.
