High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Ben Simmons (at WAS – $9,300): Needs 39.8 fantasy points. It’s the same matchup for Simmons on Wednesday. He had 43.5 fantasy points against the Wizards on Tuesday in just 28 minutes. If the Wizards can keep the game competitive, that would work out better for Simmons. But even in a blowout, he showed that he can be worth a spot on your team with his performance. Diagnosis: Reliable and a higher ceiling if the Wizards show more effort, which I do expect from them.

Kyrie Irving (vs IND – $8,400): Needs 35.9 fantasy points. Kyrie isn’t getting his usual minutes due to blowouts, but he’s still providing some value. And his minutes should be up in this one as the Pacers, even on a back-to-back, are not an easy out. This is a game where Kyrie returns to form and posts a big scoring and passing game. Diagnosis: You can almost always trust Kyrie in these tough matchups. And this is a tough matchup.

Kris Dunn (at POR – $7,000): Needs 29.9 fantasy points. Dunn had 34.3 fantasy points against the Nets on Jan. 6. He’s been solid this season when he’s been the starter and obviously, he’ll start in this one. The matchup isn’t great but the Blazers defense can be inconsistent and Dunn has proven his worth over the past two seasons. Sort of a gut feeling since you don’t typically think of Dunn as a big player. Diagnosis: Call it a hunch, but I think he has a strong game.
