High Value PF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jayson Tatum (vs IND – $6,300): Needs 27 fantasy points. Tatum was up to 32.8 fantasy points against the Nets on Jan. 7. The return of Irving will cut into his value a bit, but it will also make things easier for him. The good news is that the Pacers are on a back-to-back and could have tired legs after being in a fight with the Cavaliers. I trust Tatum to get his scoring numbers in this one while chipping in with a handful of rebounds and assists. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Derrick Favors (vs ORL – $6,000): Needs 25.7 fantasy points. Favors has been over 30 fantasy points in four out of his last five games. He’s been rolling as of late and his minutes have been up, which always helps. And now he gets the Magic. He should have no issue getting his points and rebounds in this one and he’ll probably chip in with defense, which has helped his value as of late. Diagnosis: Reliable with a solid ceiling.

Daniel Theis (vs IND – $4,500): Needs 19.3 fantasy points. Theis has been playing well for the Celtics and has been over 20 fantasy points in his last three games. He should get solid minutes in this game as the Pacers are heavy on their frontcourt and the Celtics will need Theis to play a big role. He won’t hurt you at this salary and has turned into a reliable option. Diagnosis: Reliable and a decent ceiling.
