The Kansas Jayhawks are aiming to bounce back after a demoralizing defeat at the hands of the Iowa State Cyclones. TCU, however, is looking to hand KU another Big 12 loss. Here’s everything you need to know about the game.
The TCU Horned Frogs men’s basketball team enters into Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas riding a nine-game winning streak. TCU hasn’t lost since November in a shocking game against Lipscomb. Now, TCU is looking to extend its winning streak and shock Kansas.
But a loss on the part of Kansas wouldn’t be all that surprising as the Jayhawks have lost more recently than TCU here. In fact, Kansas has lost two of its last four games, including a 17-point crushing defeat by the Iowa State Cyclones.
When Kansas enters into this game on Wednesday evening, the Jayhawks will be looking for redemption and a way to bounce back. They’re going to have to do just that without their starting center though. Udoka Azubuike is done for the remainder of the season after surgery on his wrist. He’s been in and out of several games due to injury issues at the beginning of the season, but now he’s officially out for the year.
Can Kansas find a way to replace him and bounce back from a frustrating conference loss? If there was any time to do it, it would be in a big Big 12 game at home in front of a friendly and supportive crowd.
